MLB DFS: Top DraftKings and FanDuel daily Fantasy baseball picks, lineup advice for Monday, July 11, 2022

Now that the rosters and starters have been revealed for the 2022 MLB All-Star Game, the conversation about those that were left out has also begun. One of the most discussed snubs has been St. Louis second baseman Tommy Edman, but is he a better choice for MLB DFS lineups on Monday than New York‘s Jeff McNeil, who got the call on the NL roster instead? Edman and the Cardinals take on Philadelphia and starting pitcher Aaron Nola, who Edman has failed to get a hit against in seven previous at bats.

McNeil looks like the better option in the MLB DFS player pool on Monday as the Mets move on to a new series against Atlanta. Over his last seven appearances, McNeil has six hits with a double, and in 22 career at bats against Braves probable starter Max Fried, McNeil has eight hits with three doubles and four RBI. Before you make your MLB DFS picks for Monday, be sure to check out the MLB DFS advice, strategy and projections from SportsLine daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure.

McClure is a daily Fantasy pro who has won over $2 million in his career. And when it comes to daily Fantasy baseball, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book “Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as a top MLB DFS player, McClure’s proprietary projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site.

On Sunday, McClure highlighted Braves third baseman Austin Riley in the MLB DFS player pool on DraftKings and FanDuel. The result: Riley went 3-for-6 with three RBI and a home run in the eighth inning of Atlanta’s 4-3 win against Washington to return 24 points on DraftKings and 31.7 points on FanDuel. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, as the 2022 MLB season continues, McClure has locked in his top MLB daily Fantasy picks for Monday, July 11. Head to SportsLine now to see them.

McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Monday, July 11, 2022

For Monday, one of McClure’s MLB DFS picks is Padres third baseman Manny Machado ($4,900 on DraftKings and $4,400 on FanDuel). Machado will be making his sixth All-Star appearance this season, but he’ll be looking for a bounce-back performance on Monday after going without a hit in his last two games. For the season, he has 88 total hits, 14 home runs and 50 RBI.

San Diego begins a new series at Colorado on Monday and starting pitcher Jose Urena, who was solid for the Rockies in his first start for them on July 6 against the Dodgers. However, in his career at Colorado, Machado has batting splits of .300/.365/.507. This year, Machado holds a career-high batting average in balls put in play (.354) and has cushioned his Fantasy production with the highest walk rate of his career as well (10.9 percent).

Another part of McClure’s optimal MLB DFS strategy includes stacking Machado with San Diego outfielder Trent Grisham ($2,900 on DraftKings and $3,100 on FanDuel). Grisham was hitless in his last start against the Giants on Sunday, but in the five games before that, he had five hits with a home run, two RBI and just two strikeouts in 16 total at bats. While he hasn’t been the most efficient player this season, he has still managed to hit 10 doubles and drive in 32 to go with his eight homers.

In 22 career games at Coors Field, Grisham has 18 hits, six home runs and 14 RBI. Through his first three seasons in the majors, his second-most RBI against any individual team has come against the Rockies (19); just one behind San Francisco. Grisham has seen the ball better this season at night than during the day, as he has seven doubles and both of his triples this year in night games, and tonight’s first pitch in Denver will be at 8:40 p.m. ET.

How to set your MLB DFS lineups for Monday, July 11, 2022

McClure is also targeting an undervalued player who is set to explode for huge numbers on Monday. The stars are aligning for him to return tournament-winning value and he comes at a price that won’t break the bank. You can only see who it is here.
